The supra-regional network OptecNet Deutschland e.V. was founded to achieve optimum results from the national networking initiatives and to expand the international presence of Optical Technologies ‘made in Germany’. OptecNet Deutschland is the association of the nine German Competence Networks for Optical Technologies and thus represents a powerful network focusing on the following tasks and activities:

		Supra-regional networking Exchange of experience on network management and development of common strategies Further development of the internet platform to become a powerful communication instrument Supporting the information flow between the regional networks Co-operation with other organisations in the field of Optical Technologies
		Supra-regional PR and communication Further development of the common internet and communication platform Presence at exhibitions and congresses Supra-regional and international PR
		International cooperations Establishing and cultivating relationships with international organisations in the field of optical technologies Establishing contacts between German and foreign representatives of optical technologies

The nine German competence networks for Optical Technologies include companies, research and education institutions, technology transfer agencies, business development companies, investors and public-law corporations. Their common aim is to support the development and application of Optical Technologies.
